The book stretches itself a bit too thin. He covers pot-limit omaha high, limit omaha 8/b, and pot-limit omaha 8/b. I would have liked to see the entire book devoted to PLO so that he could cover it in more detail.

This book does an excellent job of detailing the intro and middle level strategy of PLO. It does not overwhelm one with too much detail up front. The book goes thru the most important elements of PLO and then expands on those subjects as it progresses. Also, the book contains lots of example hands that help review concepts from the prior sections

The book lays out the game and a complete strategy. Pre-flop, Flop, Turn and River play is covered with objectives on each. Many hand examples and situations to get you started.

This book was great at exposing some flaws in my thinking and presenting concepts in a new light. Well reasoned arguments are presented in a clear and easy to understand format.

I learned when and where to be more aggressive, pushing and semi-bluffing with mediocre hands. I've played in two PLO8 tournaments (52 and 45 entrants) since I finished the book and taken first both times. Buying this book was a great investment

This book takes the info from both styles, and combines them, so you get the theory of pot odds and the like, mixed with strategy, and then example hands with discussions.

it's hard to resist a book that tell you that the easiest money to be made in the poker world is at the limit Omaha-split table... and then goes on to back that up with thirty pages of how-to.

the methods within are appropriate for a very certain kind of play. Full ring cash games are the exclusive domain of the material, you have to be able to sit and play very tight aggresive. If you play short handed or tournaments, you will need to study other sources. But if you are mostly playing lower-mid stakes full cash games irl or online this is solid, fundamental, actionable and difficult to exploit poker.

Without this book, there’s no way I would have been able to take advantage of the opportunities I encountered. The difference between PLO and no-limit Texas Hold’em are significant. This book allowed me to recognize traps and opportunities

I hadn’t even finished the book, but I decided to play in the weekly PLO tournament at my local casino. The first week I was totally card dead. The second time I tried, I placed 3rd in a field of 43 players!
