Unabridged Audiobook
The book: The book was good. Cheeky and cute. It was paced will with plot twist and turns that we’re well written but a bit predictable in my opinion. The banter between the FMC and MMC was great and fun. Going from funny to dark and emotional it was over all very entertaining and I will read the next books. The narration: I thoroughly enjoyed the male narrator but I didn’t care for the female one. There really wasn’t a difference in the FMC’s voice and her portrayal of the three friends and when she was trying to sound like Alex the MMC, cringe.
Each book in this series includes the same characters but different focuses and storylines. I love the characters and the author does an excellent job intertwining all of the stories in a way that they can be enjoyed individually! However, I recommend reading all of them Warning: there are very graphic, male dominant sex scenes!
great
It was a lot of emotions I’m glad I read it Highly Recommended
great, love the plot twist
Poorly written and very predictable. It’s fine if you want an easy, smutty read. But there’s no depth.
It was okay I’m glad it’s over
This book was amazing.. every detail was perfect! 100/10
The girl can’t do other voices ! She did the voice of another girl and it sounded like a man. Her voice just kills it for me . Story was ok . Spice was ok. I probably won’t read the rest of the books.
book was a fun read. The male narrator was really food and what i pictured Alex would sound like. The female narrator could’ve been better. Didn’t really capture Ava’s essence.
really terrible story
If you’re here for the “spicy” aspect of it then it’s good! The storyline was very much unrealistic. Not to hate on the author and the book itself but if you’re easily bothered by narcissistic and bragging male lead, it might be a tad annoying. Also the male narration by both male and female narrator is so low and monotonous that it’s cringy. If you also get bothered by catching repeated descriptive phrases like me, it might be an issue as well. Overall, a good read if you’re looking for a good, dramatic romance
This was godawful, particularly if you like plots, captivating characters and well-written stories. This was horrendous.
This was a good book. I should not have waited so long to read it. The narrating was awesome! Thank you! This will not be my last book I read from Ana Huang.
Good story, good characters, good narration. I will definitely check out the next book
My first book by this author and definitely 5 stars worth. I was listening to the audiobook and the narrators fit perfectly to the maincharacters. A high intelligent, sexy, successful hero and a cute college student heroine. Falling for the best friends sister/for the brothers best friend. And on the way we experience Ava's and Alex' past and how they are knit together. A great book which keeps you occupied from start to end.
Having read this book last year i've been wanting to pick it up again ever since! As soon as i found out about this audiobook i knew it was the perfect chance to get into this story once again! I started listening to it as soon as i could and was immediately pulled right back into the Twisted world! I loved this audiobook so very much! I've listened to Aiden Snow before, but was new to Cindy Kay! Omg! How i loved what both Cindy and Aiden brought to this story! From the way their narration got into my mind and how they captured the characters of Ava and Alex in such perfect ways! From the feels to the utter addictiveness of the journey, i didn't want to stop listening to these two! Oh how my book loving heart was over the moon to be reunited with Ava and Alex once again! Getting to experience their story in this new way had me falling for these characters even more! These two meet their matches in each other and oh what an unforgettable journey it is! Whenever two characters can make me completely block out the outside world and have me fully consumed in their story, i know i've found one special book. That's exactly what happened to me with Twisted Love! I could picture every single bit so clearly in my mind. Ava was such an amazing heroine that i so adored! Alex was so swoonworthy and he had me falling hard! Once again, the emotions that poured from this story and these characters truly got to me. With Twisted Love, Ms.Huang brought an utterly unique and absolutely blushworthy story with ALL the feels that i didn't want nor could turn away from! She knocked me off of my feet in the best of ways once again! She brings something special with every single word that makes this book loving heart fill with joy! From the story to the narration by Cindy and Aiden, this is one of my favorite listens! I can see myself going back to this audiobook again and again! If you haven't started this series yet, don't miss out! The Twisted books are EVERYTHING!
Boy oh boy am I glad I didn't sleep on Alex and Ava. While this is everything you've probably already heard about it, a brothers best friend, grumpy x sunshine, I dislike everyone but you trope book, it's also more than that. It's healing and comfort and morality chain and beautiful writing and such exquisitely written steamy scenes and Alex got a filthy mouth and Ava is so strong despite everything that's befallen her. Sometimes I avoid books because of the hype but I definitely regret it with this one because it really is really as good as people say it is.
Loved listening to both the narrators. They were perfect for the characters. The story was predictable but still enjoyable.
This is definitely a romantic suspense with some spicy scenes too. It has a great plot with some mini twists that I really appreciated. The anti-hero, Alex works so hard to get Ava back in the end, and I felt the authenticity of it when she doesn’t just say, “All is forgiven”, straight away and they don’t ride off into the sunset for their HEA. He really grafts for it. I connected with Ava as she’s of mixed Chinese heritage like me. I completely understood the little nuances of growing up with a traditional Chinese dad. The references to sons versus daughters and how the older generation Chinese parents show their love not with affection but with actions just made this book more believable. Alex’s life decisions are ruled by his need for vengeance but we see him soften when he’s tasked with watching over Ava for his best friend, Ava’s brother. Ava, plagued by a traumatic past melts Alex’s defences and their love begins to grow. This book is really well written and kept me engaged from the start to the finish. Cindy and Aiden brought the characters to life and you definitely feel like you’re there experiencing it all. Cindy plays the slightly younger Ava well giving us all the emotions, and Aiden embodies the gruff alpha that is Alex showing us a little accent work too. A great start to a series and an awesome find of a new author to me.
Love the book
I could not stop listening!!! 10/10
Twas good
A decent no-brainer to read.Nothing new, not the best writing ever, the storyline is quite predictable BUT it is a book about love, sex and twisted romance. So it delivers: it's an easy, brainless, fun, enticing listen.
This book is giving fireeee! I literally screamed when reading it
Great romance book, I’m usually more into fantasy ya but this was good. Not overwhelmingly good, but I didn’t regret reading. I hesitate with the three stars for narrator. The female narrator probably ruined the audiobook version as book readers will definitely enjoy this more. THANK GOD for the male narrator, he reads all female and male voices perfectly. Female narrator can only do one voice for all men and they all seem the same. She made the princess friend really low and it was so wrong it was confusing even the other females couldn’t be heard any differently. It really hurts the connection readers make with characters. This book would be WAY more successful if re-recorded by one really good narrator. It’s almost like the guy was brought in because the only 5th string female narrator was available to do this book.
This was so good! The narrators made it easy to keep up with the story and I loved it! This one is my favorite of the series
i loveeeeeee this
love this book so much any book of ana Huang is the best she make masterpieces
ɪ ʟɪᴋᴇ ɪᴛ ᴠᴇʀʏ ᴍᴜᴄʜ
Best book ever
Love love loved the book! The guy’s voice was SPICY!!!!
I loveeeee this book
it's such a beautiful story
love this book
Honestly, 3 stars because I listened through the whole thing in 3 days so it definitely kept my attention. Hated when the female narrator put on Alex's voice and she was not my favorite in general. Story was cute and had some fun twists. Will most likely read the rest of the series.
I love this book and you will love it to
It was just meh for me. I can see why people use this as a starting point for spicy romance but it’s really only mild
I love this book it is very good and intriguing I would 100% recommend
The whispering by the narrator was no whispering was called for was a turn off. Unfortunately will not be listening to audio for the rest of the series.
I adored this book. I loved all the twists and turns in this steamy story! I wish I could read this for the first time again. I highly recommend this to people who love possessive male leads, the grumpy/sunshine trope, and drama. I can't wait to read book two.
it was amazing, super good almost cried
The story itself was very good…I was in it till the end
Great book with a definite twist ☺️
Pornography with a story. Would have rated it higher if it was not so sexually explicit.
I love this book!!! There were so many parts that just keep making you want more!! Such a good read definitely recommend!!!❤️
It was a good read. I enjoyed the book enough to finish it, but I'm not invested in the characters enough to bother reading the other books in the series (each is about a different character). There is some smut if you like that. Personally, I enjoyed the romantic parts a bit more, even though they were a bit cheesy. The female main character was likeable, in my opinion. The male narrator did a really good job. I enjoyed his chapters more. The female narrator had a good pace and was clear. I didn't have to speed up her reading like others I've listened to, but unfortunately, all of her voices were pretty much the same.
i love it
I was with this book sitting on my kindle for a couple of weeks, and I was curious about this author's style, since she's new to me. This book have a mixture of a bunch of tropes that I love, and although I can't picture none of them as the main one, I did enjoyed a lot the diversity that she put on her characters. Ava Chen is the rainbow girl here... She's a photographer in college, living with her best friend and next door to her brother, she's a always available kinda of person, caring, smiling, happy and loving. Alex Volkov is everything that she isn't. He's best friends with her brother, but that's the extension of his close friends. He's a loner, cold, grumpy, rich, arrogant and obviously... handsome as hell. Both have a different but traumatic childhood, and while Ava can't remember hers, Alex can't forget one single second of his. I liked both characters and the way that their relationship happened. I wish that their love story could've been more developed, but it was nice to see their banter and the way that he was different with her. He did everything to help her conquer her fears, and that was beautiful. There's a couple of predictable twists in the story, but that didn't make them less entertaining, and the groveling in this book is a real thing!
