Unabridged Audiobook
Really enjoyed this novel. Amy Tan can paint a picture with words. Families matter and we all want to be a part of one no matter who they are made up of and we are all human no matter what our skin color or cultural makeup maybe. Love listening to this and will probably listen to it again.
Really enjoyed. Drama, heartbreak, humor, historical, and satisfying ending.
Wonderful, disconcerting but very moving story! I found the narrators voice irritating in the beginning when portraying the child but it evened out as the child aged and was well told. Really a fabulous “read”.
This is a great story and you will learn so much about last century Chinese culture. Which explains a LOT about their present day issues and why the people act the way they do.
This book drug on and on. I of course had to finish it but was left unfulfilled.
I enjoyed this book very much. The characters are well developed and woven together in the storyline making it a fantastic read/listen. A bonus...the narration is excellent!!
Highly engaging book and story that had the right balance of surprises, tension and intrigue. I've read it twice. Narrators are very engaging.
