Hot and steamy, just the way I like it. Would like to have another book like this one.

Loved this, would really like a follow on book. I love a woman that takes control, even if she is not very confident doing so.

Little different than the normal romance plot but a very good read nonetheless!

This book started out really odd for me. The heroine spent a large part of this story pretending to be someone she wasn’t. She analyzed every word and action toward the hero, not as something she would say but as something she thought he wanted to hear. I found that strange. It made it difficult to gauge what kind of person she was. Even her relationship with her best friend felt off to me. They’d have a simple conversation and things would end up tense. Because of her behavior, I really thought I’d end up hating this book, but I didn’t. It turned around and I finally understood why the author wrote it this way. It was unusual, but in the end it worked. Heather is a person who is walked over constantly. All her relationships end poorly because she allows the men to treat her badly. When she goes to a speed dating event she decides that since no one knows her she can be anyone she wants. She meets Tony who is an executive that is sick of having to always be in control. Suddenly, she has an epiphany and orders Tony to do some very naughty things. And he obeys. Things escalate from there. Heather slowly grows into this pseudo dominatrix role and finds it empowering. She soon begins to wonder if this isn’t just some false personality she’s taken on or rather something that has been inside her the whole time. Something she has suppressed. I started to understand that by pretending to be something she wasn’t she was inadvertently finding herself. The same was true for Tony. He was used to being in control all the time. He is a workaholic who cherishes nothing as much as his next deal. He goes through a small journey of self-discovery as well. By the end everything seemed to level out for the two. There are some big role reversals and their relationship balances nicely. I was happy with the way the story finished. Overall, I think it’s a unique story. For readers who enjoy a little light BDSM, I think you’ll enjoy this book.
