Summary
'What the heck is my partner thinking?' is a common refrain in romantic relationships, and with good reason. Every person is wired for love differently, with different habits, needs, and reactions to conflict. The good news is that most people's minds work in predictable ways and respond well to security, attachment, and rituals, making it possible to actually neurologically prime the brain for greater love and fewer conflicts.

Wired for Love is an innovative guide to understanding your partner's brain and enjoying a romantic relationship built on love and trust. Synthesizing research findings drawn from neuroscience, attachment theory, and emotion regulation, this book presents ten guiding principles that can improve any relationship.

Well, this book makes my day so far Though I haven't finished the whole episode coz just have the trial audio for like a couple of minutes. I loved it! As I wanted to work out my relationship with my husband as a married couple. There's a lot of realization while hearing every single pointer of the article. A lot of lessons to be learned aside from the things I thought were right. I wish I could have the whole episode of this book. I believed this would help me for so many reasons. All I wanted for a long time now is to have a good relationship with my husband and a happy family with our kids.

The significance of the theories of Tatkin can not be understated. I'm deeply moved by the fictional dialogues in the book because I can relate so much to the ineffective communication between "islands" and "waves" (Tatkins uncharged labels for avoidant and preoccupied attachment styles). I am pretty sure that those couples who work this book, or even if just one member of a couple does, the health of their relationship (and the individuals and in extension the entire society, as stated in the foreword) will greatly improve. I wish I was pointed in this direction years ago.
