Unabridged Audiobook
I like the book in that it highlights the importance of a willingness to be taught and humility. The narrator isn’t the best but I still enjoy listening.
Unique fairy tale type story. Good narration for the most part.
The story is really great, full of moral wisdom, especially regarding the raising of children. However, recording was very weak, and sometimes the narrator tend to kind of mumble, which, at the lower volume, made it difficult to understand portions of the story.
I read this book years ago, when I first became a Christian and thought it was the beat thing since sliced bread, and it has stuck with me since, though I could never say what stuck. Hearing it again today, 7 years later I am still amazed by all the MacDonald packed into it, and it is a beautiful, short, intriguing book about the Christian life, through the lens of a thick fairytale. Thoroughly enjoyed listening to it again, though a little less now than then.
