Born in El Cajon, CA in 1969, Bret Boone reached the major leagues in 1992. He hit 252 home runs, drove in more than 1,000 runs and won four Gold Gloves and two Silver Slugger awards in a 14-year career with the Seattle Mariners, Cincinnati Reds, Atlanta Braves and San Diego Padres.
