Marisa Fazio is an award-winning writer who explores historical and contemporary Italian and Australian themes in her fiction and poetry. Her family is from a mountain village that looks down over Capo d'Orlando in Sicily, the home of Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa's cousin, the poet Baron Lucio Piccolo.
