Unabridged Audiobook
if your expecting this to be the tv show it isn't. its a base outline this story had promise but the author runs short there really isn't any conflict or resolution its mainly about the love stories... it wasn't terrible but don't go onto it thinking that it is the tv show.
It is a good booo I recommend it!
I decided to read the books since I enjoy the book so much. The premise is the same and the plots eventually diverge. This was a breath of fresh air compared to the show in that it is less stressful and the conclusions to certain story arcs have cleaner conclusions. In all honesty, though, these might as well be completely different stories and personally I find that to be good. There is a definite juvenile quality to the relationships that can be a but abrasive to a more cynical reader but I welcomed them. Clarke and Bellamy are my favorite POVs. Wells comes in as a close second. Glass, although new to me, was difficult to get attached to, due to my predilection for Clarke and Bellamy. I also have a low tolerance for overly sugary love stories so her arc dragged a bit for me. However, she is one of the characters that has the most character development. The story was very much to the point and not layered in too many complicated subplots, so that was another aspect of the book that I enjoyed. I would warn against reading these books and expecting to see the same stories play out as in the show. If you approach the book like this you are in for unnecessary disappointment. Read this book with a fresh set of eyes, and you’ll be surprised. Also...and I do feel that for a section of the fandom this may be appealing (it absolutely was to me) the main romance that flourishes is between Clarke and Bellamy. As is the fashion in most YA novels, the relationship is quick but there are some interesting moments of reflection that we are able to appreciate from the both of their perspectives.
Loved the show!! Just not a fan of these books... not sure why we need to know about Glass and Luke’s love story and how it’s relevant at all...
I loved the show. Mostly because of the Grounder culture they did. This book tho is more Arker inclined and that's interesting for me than what the series shown. I suggest you watch the show too if you like Grounder culture and badass lesbian wielding double swords, yes I'm describing Commander Lexa, she's awesome, though I read that she isn't part of this book. :) i like Clarke on the show more than Clarke on books, Glass though. :"> She took my heart with her story here plus her description is actually Clarke on the show. Blonde hair, Blue eyes. ????
Good book. Reminds me of Divergent though. Goes quickly and the narrator is very good. Was a quick read. But, I'm not sure I will download the rest of the series at this time.
Love the show so decided to give this a try. This book was very boring and I did not enjoy it at all. Just kept switching from Wells to Clark to Bellamy to someone named glass who was never in the show. Don't waste your time. The show is way better than this book.
I loved it all. I watched the show everyday!! Every moment I could I would be doing something The 100 related. I wanted to listen to the book but I was a little on the edge about the people ready it. The voices ready the book made it perfect! It created the characters personalities! I LOVED IT!!!
I loved the show and the book just make sit better can't wait to read the next one!!!!!
