Check Mate

David is the ever predictable, like things a specific way and doesn’t deviate from his schedule brother. His younger brother makes a bet that David can’t do something completely out of character and unpredictable, so when a travel brochure ends up on his front porch it’s a sign that this is what he needs to do to win. Isabella may seem a little wild and unorganized on the outside, but she’s as driven as they come, trying to reach her dreams while not hurting her relationship with her parents (who want her to take over the family restaurant and marry asap.) When these two polar opposites end up on the same trip, and in the same tent, they finally start to see who the other person is instead of just the frustrating neighbor from back home. This book had me laughing at the banter between these two and swooning as their relationship grew. Thank you to Leah Brunner for sending me an ALC of Check Mate, it was such an enjoyable way to experience this story.
