Mediocre story. absolute worst narrator I've ever listened to. within 30 minutes it was all I could do to continue listening. Even the ones who aren't supposed to be dumb sound that way.

Very exciting and easy to listen too. Good story line.

The book is certainly interesting and a genre of fantasy that I hadn’t read/seen much before (angels vs demons). It gets going and keeps up at a good pace but I found the characters to be fairly one-dimensional (the reluctant heroine, the bubbly friend, the quiet brooding love interest, the jock). The world-building is nicely done and doesn’t get too complicated or difficult to follow. I’m assuming I missed that this is a YA novel and perhaps that explains why the book is short and very plain language. The narrator’s voice has this sort of whispery husky quality that distracted from the book’s content. Some of the time, the narrating voice seemed to be really put-on; like the stereotype aire of a snooty east-coast socialite (not a 17 year old).. it was just.. strange. Captivating enough to listen to the entire book. Overall - I won’t be listening to or purchasing others. Would recommend for 13-16yr olds.

I enjoyed this story on many levels. Other than the usual greed, self entitlement, jealousy and lust. The main characters continously draw their strengths from each other as one. The romantic that I am, draws me into the possibilities of a bond mate story. Something I've never found or experienced. That's why they call it fantasy.

Hmmm… I‘m kind of on the fence here. I think the story line is good, just sometimes irritating. Maybe it’s the teeny feel of it, but after all, the main character IS a teenager. Not yet decided whether to delve into book 2. The narrator was ok. The girl friend‘s voice grated on my nerves.

Fabulous book I can’t wait to hear the next one in the series.

Kind of terrible. Everything was way too predictable and the narrator's voice was appalling at best. The storyline was okay, but there was so little context and they made statements that made no sense if you were paying attention to the previous chapters.

Really enjoyed this story and the narrator was great. Looking forward to the next episode

I’m super into fantasy and this had a wonderfully thought out storyline. I enjoyed it

sounds a lot like The Shadowhunter Chronicles, so I'm finding it cool. The narrator could have been different, but the voice grew on me.

This book is absolutely amazing! It all unfolds so beautifully and it very well captivates the mind. I want more!

Weak the book made her weak to not be able to kill when her friends are being killed. Not even when someone forcefully touches her. She has the power but she watches her friends and says their is nothing she can do. It makes me angry not at the demons at her. She is no hero she is weak. So far that’s what I think even her mother she couldn’t protect her until she already bleeding out she watched that demon manipulate her for years. So far that’s what I think I hope she changes but right now she makes me sick

Interesting story line.

This book was much better written than I expected from the genre, but it normalises and downplays sexual violence.

This was so interesting im hooked and I WANT BE ABLE TO SEE THE CHARACTER OMG the detail makes me want to compare the people I made in my head to the authors can't wait to read the rest

I did enjoy this book. I was able to listen and make a movie in my head thanks to the Narrator. I like how the narrator tried to use different voices for the characters.

I'm not sure if it's the book that's written in an amateur way or the awful narration but I gave up on this one.

There was no feeling from the reader/narrator. It was basic and I lost interest within the first 15 minutes.

Loved it. Really enjoyed reading as I worked around the house.
