Summary
Cowgirl Kate and her horse Cocoa love getting up early and herding cattle on the range. They are the closest pals, even though they don't always see eye to eye. When its time to wrangle the cattle, Kate is ready to go with her sharp cowboy hat and tough rawhide gloves, but Cocoa needs a little more encouragement. After a quick drink and a few apples, the two are off to the range to get to work. With Cocoa's help, Kate climbs trees, tells stories, counts the cows and rides the range. And once their adventures get going, the two argue as only best buddies can do. Erica Silverman's Cowgirl Kate and Cocoa is a recipient of the Theodor Seuss Geisel Honor and a treat for young listeners. Narrator Liz Morton perfectly captures the spirit of friendship and loyalty found in this delightful collection of stories.
