Unabridged Audiobook
Good Lord this audio book is bad. This REALLY needs to be your niche. I think only one story had merit and that was the second one. Beyond that, each one followed a very similar storyline with mild racism and cliché dialogue to get to the spicy scenes. I'm no prude by any means, but the story needs to have a cohesive cause and effect. The first story deals with blackmail and humiliation and the husband believes that the reason he might lose his wife is money and not trust, communication, and the spicy bits. It LEANS heavily on problematic stereotypes, which hurts the story heavily. the second follows two couples. One is trying to conceive and the other is transitioning into a more spicy lifestyle. The problematic stereotypes continue, which brings the best story here down. The third is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous with a therapist which leads to a borderline incestuous exchange and a coach, but the story does not justify half of its own spicy scenes. The last is about revenge on a cheating husband. But through eroticism and very little communication, they are brought closer. I'm not saying any or all of these scenarios could happen, but it doesn't seem like an escape from reality. There is a lot of potential to these stories but they are each a mess in their own way. Further, the audio book jumps around. the narrator skips and repeats herself. If I could get a refund on this, I would. If you're looking for spice in a similar but not entirely and vein, try Ruby Dixon. It would be worth more of your time.
