The Dark Hours

Done with Bosch and Mickey Haller now that Connelly has decided to inject his politics into his books. I could not make it past the first chapter of this book- all of the covid mask worship, got to keep the white cops from the brown people, and of course a band of serial rapists to show how bad men are. Either Connelly has literally lost the plot or these books are being ghost written. What a waste, what a shame.

One of Michael Connelly's best! Fast paced with a lot of action. The narrator's were perfect - listening to Titus Welliver is like listening to Bosch on tv. Great job!

Excellent as always! We ended up sitting in the driveway several times after a trip so we could finish a chapter!!Super well written, with excellent narration too.Definitely a must listen to!!!

Too liberal with facts and opinions.No need for Jan. 6 reference when facts are distorted. Makes police look incompetent thus showing bias. He is off my reading list.

Would have been a good book if the Author let his political beliefs out of it. Why even put the chapter about the "insurrection"? It didn't even play into the script. Every other page he was talking about wearing masks and he even forces Bosch to get the "jab". Was a complete joke.

Great Read, as with all of the stories from the Bosch Universe.

Not my favorite Michael Connelly book but still worth to listen. Overall the plot was good characters were interesting, but there were a few slow spots and I found myself having to backtrack and listen to it over again because I had drifted away from it. It didn't hold my attention like most of his books do. The narration in this one was very good and I like the character Ballard.

Great story. Not political as some say. Another great book. Loved the narrators

It was probably a good book but I couldn't get past the injected politics. I became a huge fan of the Bosch character prior to this. And I could (and did) glean the authors political leanings from those books. However, this one really pushed the mask worship hard and the beat you over the head with the extreme leftist narrative behind the January 6th "insurrection". I wish I could get my credit back for this one.

I am hooked on Titus Welliver's voice as Bosch. Don't know that I can listen to a different voice reading other Bosch books. Loved the story - having 2 crimes to solve was great.
