Summary
Rosamund Pike returns with an outstanding narration of The Great Hunt, Book Two of the Wheel of Time, now an original series on Prime Video, starring Rosamund as Moiraine.

In The Great Hunt, the second novel in Robert Jordan’s #1 New York Times bestselling epic fantasy series, The Wheel of Time®, Rand al’Thor and his companions set out to retrieve a powerful magical artifact from The Dark One’s Shadowspawn.

For centuries, gleemen have told the tales of The Great Hunt of the Horn. So many tales about each of the Hunters, and so many Hunters to tell of...

Now the Horn itself is found: the Horn of Valere long thought only legend, the Horn which will raise the dead heroes of the ages.

And it is stolen.

In pursuit of the thieves, Rand al’Thor is determined to keep the Horn out of the grasp of The Dark One. But he has also learned that he is The Dragon Reborn—the Champion of Light destined to stand against the Shadow time and again. It is a duty and a destiny that requires Rand to uncover and master magical capabilities he never imagined he possessed.

Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® has captivated millions of readers around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters. The last six books in series were all instant #1 New York Times bestsellers, and The Eye of the World was named one of America's best-loved novels by PBS's The Great American Read.

Wonderfully done! I enjoy the story immensely, and the new narration fits its feel to the letter of it. The original audio sounded like a poor radio broadcasters version, with poor cadence and inflections. My only disappointment is waiting another year for her audio version of the next title.

After listenjng through the original recording on Eye of The World, I was ready to never return to Wheel of Time again. A friend convinced me that Pike’s narrations had been well-receieved and I’m so glad I gave it a chance. Both the story itself and the Narration are improved by miles. Pike’s voicework is increible and brings to like countless characters all with consistent accents from the lands they hail from. I need more of Rosamund Pike’s narrations of this series STAT!!

Ms. Pike shines in this retelling of Robert Jordan’s magnum opus. While I prefer the previous readers (Michele Kramer, Kate Reading). I have to admit hearing the story told from the Voice of the T.V. Version of one of the key characters of the story has a certain flare.

I'm brand new to this series and mostly just came because Brandon Sanderson wrote the last few books so I wanted to see what it was. I listened to the first book first ofc, and just finished this one, the second in the series. First, if you are deciding whether to pick THIS NARRATOR or the other one, I picked the other one for the first book, and found this one (Pike) to be much better except omg that terrible accent for the Seanchan at the end. I wanted to give 6 stars until I heard that; it ruined the ending. down to 4 I guess. A great narrator except for that... Second, I liked this book more than the first one; it still gets very slow at times but it is a bit more exciting and the characters begin to get over themselves a tiny bit. If you liked the first book you'll like this one more. I hope they keep getting better because I can see the inspiration for a lot of books ive read that came after this but so far the series is not what id call 'good' yet. Im barely rooting for anybody and if the world being doomed is a certain outcome with the whole circular time thing im not sure why I or the characters should be hopeful. Well i need something to listen to so we'll give book 3 a go.

The book is just as entertaining as book one and Rosamunde Pike presents it with absolute perfect style - amazing how she presents different characters with distinktive accents and intonation … she just brings each person to life - uncanny! She is a first rate actress but this is in its own class.

I am re listening to the books as I started watching the tv show and was like this isn’t how the books plots laid out. I highly enjoy listening to the book series and got as far as book 10. This time I’ll listen to the whole series and then watch the tv series

I’ve been reading and rereading this series since 6th grade. I absolutely love the rhythm and care Rosamond gives to all of the characters. It moves at a great pace. I can’t put my earbuds down, literally non-stop -
