Unabridged Audiobook
The narration was smooth and easy to listen to. I always enjoy myth-based books, but that is not what I was expecting
Enjoyed the book. I did think the reader was a little too fast, but after slowing her down to .8 or .7 it was much easier to listen.
Although this is a history narrative the narrator could be a lot more interesting and animated. I spent more time listening for the click of the computer mouse than actually listening to the narrator. Was very annoying. Gave up listening as the book was so dry and the narrator was boring. The history is interesting but it was destroyed by the narrator in my opinion
I found the book to be very interesting; in fact, I just started volume 2. I look forward to the knowledge I’ll gain from this continuation of the history of Egypt.
Interesting to read. Getting the perspective from one of the very early explorers, as opposed to current documentation on finds. I find very compelling. Interesting to compare the process of archeology from the mid to late 1800s. To how we conduct it now! Technology has vastly improved the process of locating probable sites without diminishing to finds. Understanding of Hieroglyphs improvement since then are manifold. And DNA Analysis, has made it easier to Validate who, what, when and where. Being reminded of how it all began, is a great basis for upcoming, young people to review. It will help them appreciate how technology has made it more concise and less a Chance in finding an extensive site.
decent book
