Unabridged Audiobook
Never ending! She is so full of herself and the entire book is from her perspective. The author spends 90% of it praising Beatrice. At one point the 16 year-old attacks a grown man and threatens him because he beat up his son at her age. Come on. He wld have beat her senseless!
The ending is a bit abrupt but overall leaves you wanting to jump right into the 3rd book.
Very good book if they would have made the movie just like the book the movie would have been great
great book and wonderful narration
Such an amazing series. I love this narrator and how well she conveys the way of Tris' thoughts
Fun & quite unique read (and it's a Trilogy) for Fantasy/Sci-Fi/Dystopian Fans, & Geeks
Kept the story going well.
Storyline is good but 1st was way better, i feel it gets worse each book. still a good book though
Another great book! Found this one harder to stop listening to than the first!
It's nothing like the movie but definitely an amazing book.
This was my first time using audio books and now I'm hooked. Listening to the book allowed me to focus more since I have a difficult time reading the book myself. I would definitely recommend this app to my friends and family.
I thought it was as good as the first one. The author does a good job of exploring the human effects of war. I'm excited for the next book.
I just listened to the second Divergent book, Insurgent. It was GREAT! I loved the reader. I'm looking foward to listening to the next book in this series! ~Emilly
What a great book can't wait to listen to the next
Again Emma Galvin is the perfect voice for Tris. Story line was good but inconsistencies small ones. One that stuck out was swerving a car to miss pot holes that are the size of people. I live in the Midwest, We have pot holes the size of people.. we call it February. Good read though. (A good listen to. Emma Galvin really is awesome.)
The second story was so disjointed and nonsensical I'm probably not going to read the third. If you found the ending of book 1 a bit hard to accept it only gets worse. Add to that some annoyances with Tris: constantly harping on not being brave enough or selfless enough even though she puts her life on the line repeatedly, lying for no good reason repeatedly to Tobias, who for some reason keeps coming back for more. Plot holes galore. I greatly enjoyed the first book, this one didn't work for me.
I loved the book, lots of action and answers! The
the 2nd book is just as good a suspensful as the first one! super good! i love my audiobook app!
If you haven't read Hunger Games, this series is good. If you have read Hunger Games, it is not.
Awesome sequel! I loved all the twists and turns! Thanks again to the author, Veronica!
Liked the first one better but still a fun ride. I was bummed the third one isn't out yet.
This was a positive continuation to Divergent, but I did not enjoy it as much. It seemed to follow a relatively straight path, which at times was too predictable. This book did provide a lot of action, though some of it didn't really pull me into the scene. The ending, albeit doing its job to assure you'll want to read the next book, doesn't stand on its own as a rewarding ending (in my opinion). Though it's not hard to play devils advocate that it was meaningful on its own. As for the narration, I thought it was top notch. I could easily tell who was talking, speech was clear, and with a sense of character that was exciting to follow. There's nothing I can even think to nitpick about. Overall, if you enjoyed the first book, you won't be disappointed in this one. Definitely pick it up.
This is a well written book. Good story line. Love the characters.
A huge fan of Jennifer Crusie, here to say, this book is another one of her winners. Crusie has the ability to keep things real. Her characters are not perfect, which is, for this reader anyway, a large part of her charm. If you like romance and comedy with a little danger and suspense thrown in, this book is for you!
