Unabridged Audiobook
Great book! Will be downloading the next book very soon!!! A worthy read while I wait for Diana Gabaldon's next gift to her fans!
Loved the historic setting with the fiction adding reality and emotion to the Characters and the reality of the impact of what happened back then. A good story well done with many unexpected twists and turns. Reader kept character separate and distinct!
I am not a romanticist at heart, so this novel was a bit too mushy for my tastes. The narration was mediocre and I found some of her accents to be downright corny. This appeared to be heavily influenced by The Outlander series, just not up to par with Diana Gabaldon's lovely style of writing or the historical research behind her writing.
narriration for this book was not the greatest. Not really enjoying it because of it. I've read this book before So I knew I enjoyed it. it's still a good read, but the narrative did nothing for the tone of the books. I felt her "voices" for some of the characters were not a good choice. this takes away from getting lost in it.
Well written historical romance that was very good. While some compare it favorably to the Outlander series I found it lacking the character development and plot twists of Outlander. (Time travel opens so many more possibilities) The dialogue could be written better but overall I would recommend the book. The narrator is also very good although I have a hard time with her voice of the main character Nathaniel.
The book was very good lots of adventure kept you wanting more. The narrator made each character come to life.
Loved it. Well written and narrated. I had just finished reading the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, so I was thrilled when 2 of the characters from that series were mentioned. Ian Murray and Clair Fraser when the Battle of Saratoga was being related to Elizabeth. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series.
Great book. Well written. I will move on to the next in her series. Only complaint on the audio book is the narrator is not stellar.
Great. I really enjoyed it. Being a Diana Gabaldon fan, this book was just my style. The story was colorful with plenty of characters, and enough romance to satisfy me!
It went on and on and on-I found it to be a little too detailed and at times brutal. There was always some crisis which makes one wonder how in the world the characters will survive or how they actually did by virtue of the author's pen! Well written but just couldn't give it 4 or 5 stars for the length that was relentless.
