Unabridged Audiobook
Wow- this was a captivating listen. Great characters and an even better plot. Amazing take on true forgiveness.
The beyond talented athlete with a promising future. The athlete with the blessing of a beautiful wife to enjoy this life with. The plans, the hard work, the naysayers, the endorsements-changed in a moment. Accusations turned into convictions, a future turned into a lonely cell. If he could only clear his name. But, it is not his career he wants back. It’s his wife. In true Charles Martin fashion, this story builds upon the foundation of its characters. Both male and female readers will find common ground within this storyline. I especially enjoy Martin’s respect for marriage and it’s vows within the hardship that would tear it apart. 4* audiobook-Kevin Stilwell narrates the audiobook with the flare of a sports announcer, placing you on the field, in the interviews, in the cell. I have a hard time with male narrators being the voice of the female characters. He does a better job than some and I ended up enjoying the audiobook as well. This book is suitable for teens and older with no inappropriate intimate scenes and no bad language.
This is a great book! It is inspirational and if you like sports or have played them in your past you will be able to relate to parts of the book.
