Summary
Faking a relationship on reality TV is harder than you think.

Melissa Jones

I applied to be on my favourite TV show, The Love Trials, as a joke. I never expected to get chosen.

I mean, come on! I'm single, for one thing. It's a couples game.

And yet, here I am. In a Scottish castle––no less––and about to make a fool of myself on national television.

The producers say they're going to match me up with a total stranger. We need to fool the other couples––and the British public––that we are totally legit. Easy enough, right?

The prize money will help me quit working for my lousy boss and start up my own business. My ticket to getting out of my tiny village and move to London! I just have to make sure I don't mess this up. And at no point, can I actually fall for the guy. Oh no. True love is off the table.

Oh my. The kissing in front of the camera at the castle scene is absolutely spectacular. These two have amazing chemistry, and the female character is hilarious. I laughed out loud so many times, it left me with a smile long after it was done. Lovely ending. Highly recommend.

Although the storyline was refreshingly different, compared to the oft repeated pattern, I think the narrator's extremely slow delivery put me off. It would have been nice if she had kept that slow drawl for one specific character & changed it for the others.. it was like every single person took ages to say something & some were even slower! I was glad when it was over.. the only thing that kept me going was wanting to know how the book ended... Overall, a mediocre experience..

Well, this story had potential to be good, but it had so many plot holes in it that I was put off of it almost enough to stop listening to it! However, I also hate to waste my VIP pick by not listening to it, so I finished it to the barely tolerable end. Besides the plot holes, the narrator was abysmal, making the story especially excruciating to hear. I think it might have been a computer pretending to be a human reading because the phrasing was so bad. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone.

The narrator’s voice was grating, but the story was enjoyable

Story was okay, light weight and predictable. The narrator’s voice was very difficult to listen to. It is not only annoying to hear it changed the character into a whiny person and not likeable. I think the same story readyby someone else would have changed everything!

A fun story and really good rom-com distraction.

I did not care for the narrator. The story is okay and not completely predictable.

Unfortunately I could only listen for a few minutes- the narrator is awful, so hard to listen too

The premise sounds good, I want to give this book a chance, but I couldn’t get past the first minute of the sample because of the narration.

Could not get past chapter 4. The narrator is very poor. I might be able to get farther into the story with a better narrator.
