Unabridged Audiobook
This is my first FD book ... after hearing for years about how great it was ... its amazing to me that a guy from Russia that lived and died so long ago ... feels and thinks astoundingly similar to me ... :) ... the book made me think ... ponder and laugh ... the narrator takes a bit getting used to , but he does a great job ...
Another book I could not put down , had to read it over and over as it is fascinating and I wanted to capture everything.
the narrator is bad
Outstanding. The narrator was perfect. This story didn’t have a single likeable character, except Liza, but you can’t help but relate with them. It was funny, real and too truthful for comfort. Highly recommend.
Painful self-indulgent ramblings of a pathetic, cruel loser. The narrator does his best with the maddening drivel.
Got a lot better in the second section
Great book, but not my favorite
A rare occasion when the narration is better than the book - I felt as though the author was reading the text himself (rather than the usual distant third party) -
I'm sorry - I found the narrator a little monotonous and it was hard to get engaged with the book as a result.
