Summary
Beloved #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Starts with Us, It Ends with Us, and All Your Perfects returns with an unforgettable love story between a writer and his unexpected muse.

Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in Los Angeles together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist.

Can Ben’s relationship with Fallon—and simultaneously his novel—be considered a love story if it ends in heartbreak?

Decent book. Wasn’t too thrilled with the female narrator. Great ending!

EXCELLENT! I found myself hurrying to my car to listen on my commute and happily cleaned the entire house so I could listen. Read it in 3.5 days. The author made me gasp and yell out loud. Great storyline!

Love her books, the plot twist wasn’t far fetched or predictable. Always love narration by Zachary Webber.

Great book but it took me hours to get over the female narrator’s super slow drawn out voice. Why the heck does she talk so slow. It’s like I hit a slow down button on my audio. Very annoying. Once I was able to get past that, I really enjoyed the book.

Such a stupid plot line and irritating female narrator. The male narrator was good.

Didn’t think I cared for the plot and suddenly a great twist. Male narrator was great. Female narrator was too slow and dramatic for my taste.

Got through this book in less than 24 hours. The female narrator was too slow for the book. Great plot twist.

Soooo over the top dramatic. The chemistry feels very forced between the main characters. I could not stop rolling my eyes. Usually I’m a big Colleen Hoover fan but I just couldn’t get into this one. Also the female narrator speaks extremely slow.

Love this book. Love the romance and the mystery! Great story!! I couldn't wait to get to the end. Didn't love the narration. Would have liked more inflections and more passion in the tone of their voices.

I love Colleen Hoover's books! The last one I listened to, November 9th, started off on a high, so I wondered all through the book how it would end! I was satisfied, as it was magical. This book made me realise that our childhood days can influence our grown-up lives!

This book kept my interest, but I didn’t love it. Some parts of the story were so cheesy and included eye-roll worthy sentences. I’ve never been a romance novel reader, but maybe those are the readers this book is geared toward. Both of the narrators were enjoyable.

Storyline was pretty boring until a fairly good plot twist 3/4 into the book. Male narrator was good. Female narrator was somewhat annoying and read too slow.

I think the last 2 hours really got me the unexpected turn in the book that shocked me! It was good not my favorite of hers but good!

It started off a little too sappy for me. But it definitely got better after a few chapters and then I really enjoyed it. I liked the male narrator better than the female, she talked a little too slow and dramatic for me. But I just sped it up a couple points when it was her turn. All in all I really liked the book and would recommend it.

the book was wonderful. 5 stars. I very much enjoyed it. the male narrator was also great. 5 stars. I ended up giving it a 3 rating because I almost couldn't finish the book because of the lack of emotion in the female narrator's voice. it was like Siri was reading me the book. 1 or 2 stars.

The last 30% of the book it’s so good! Got my full attention and I could not stop. Very unexpected and emotional. Totally worth the first part which was a little slow and I did not appreciate the cursing at all, other than that totally worth it.

Different story - good plotline, kept me listening, although female narrator annoyed me because she made the character sound vapid with a slow, dreamlike style of narration, rather than quick-witted and spunky, which I grew to feel she was. If you can listen without that small nuance affecting you, it's worth it. Nice story.

The female narrator was hard to listen to, and the plot was not realistic.

The female narrator’s voice was not the best, but I absolutely loved the plot driven storyline and the twists were perfection. Nicely done!

The story was a love story which was a reasonable one. Unfortunately the female narrator sounded robotic which made it hard to listen to. More intonation on her part would’ve been great.

Unique concept. I liked the plot line but I could not stand the female voice. Ironically the character is supposed to be a voice of audio books herself but the narrator didn’t sound 18 and had no emotion in her voice. I had to listen to it on 1.2 speed.

This book was recommended and I had no idea what is was going to be about. I was pleasantly surprised and absolutely loved the story. I didn’t care too much for the woman’s voice who narrated it but the story did not disappoint.

this was my first novel by Colleen Hoover and it did NOT dissapoint. drew me in right away and I loved seeing the relationship develop with Ben & Fallon throughout the story. the male narrator was great, female.. eh not so much (kind of monotone in my opinion)

Nov 9 is my birthday, so I thought it would be fun to read. Kind of started slow, but then picked up steam - so much so that I couldn't put it down. Zachary Webber is a terrific narrator!. Angela Goethais was not so convincing in her role. This did not surprise me as other raters felt similarly. But, the story stole the show - it was filled with suspense and twists. I found myself sitting in my car after my evening commute to see what happened next.

It wasn't my favorite out of the Colleen Hoover stories I've listened to so far. I liked the way Ben and Fallon met, their chemistry seemed genuine and realistic for a first encounter. I even liked how Ben looked passed Fallon's burn scars and saw her beauty. The parts that had me scratching my head was how the author had cameos of three characters from Ugly Love. I liked having a taste for Miles, Tate and Ian again but the connection seemed odd. In Ugly Love Ian and Miles met in elementary, in San Francisco where they both grew up, so how is it that Ian's two brothers grew up in LA? Do they have different fathers and Ian lived with him while his brothers lived with their mom? Confusing. The other thing that had me shaking my head was the twist at the end that explains why Ben first approached Fallon. I don't know why but I wanted to roll my eyes. Perhaps because I'm noticing a trend with these Colleen Hoover books: girl meets guy, he develops intense feelings but his troubled passed interrupts their blossoming love, then finally her unwavering love is what heals the guys wounds... Blah blah. I also didn't care for the breathy narration voice for Fallon. It starts off strong every time the story returns to Fallon but then the narrator sounds normal after a while. Anyway, overall assessment, not bad but won't listen to it again the way I do with most audios.
