Unabridged Audiobook
I have always enjoyed the Drizzt series. They are one of my most favorite stories to read and an easy book to pick up and read again. I enjoy you R.A Salvatore can take you into his books and make you feel like you are right in the mix. Especially his fight scenes, I feel every time I read them I can see the fight as if it were happening right in front of me and even though I have read the books multiple times it still seems that I don't know who will be the victor. I truly enjoy this book and its imagery and story line. I wish more people shared the out looks of Drizzt. A must read series.
Look this is obviously top-tier writing and narration but prepare to be totally lost if you haven't read the other books. They are constantly referencing past characters and events that I had no idea about. It was pretty frustrating.
Well it took me a while to get into this book. I am from the lord of the rings era. Orcs are bad. But as I read along I began to see the races, orcs, dwarves, elves, halflings, and humans living in proximity of each other. Time and love have no boundaries. Each race grows with past views but learn to see with new eyes and ideas. Salvatore open a little crack in me. I doubt I will continue the series but this book brought to light anew view on races. Narrator was good. Someday I will to terms with an orc marriage to a human but not quite there today
R.A Salvatore is one of my favorite authors and he never let's me down amazing
I'm a bit over ogres and orcs and goblins etc. I kinda want Drizzt going Moe towards magic, dragons, treasures and quests. I can't wait for him cross paths with Artemis or the Jarlaxle. The story unwinds slow but it's steady and good. The narrator....omg. I've used audible and the recordings and narrators are top notch. then I try audiobooks and I almost erased everything upon listening to this guy. In short...could be much better.
