The Retribution

Halfway through and still intrigued by the story. Though the villain may seem far fetched, there really are such "creatures" among us. I found the writing a bit clunky at times, but this kind of escapism is all about character and plot, and I was entertained all the way.

I enjoyed Wire in the Blood so much and immediately downloaded the sequel. I love the characters and couldn't wait to see what happened next. While Retribution can stand on its own, I definitely recommend Wire first. Val McDermid has become a favorite author. I really disliked the way this one ended but the story was good, kept me interested as it moved along.
