Unabridged Audiobook
Very unhappy with the purchase of this book. It started out introducing an impossible amount of characters, and the voices the narrator used for the multiple characters were so bad I was hoping some of them would die off early in the book so I wouldn't have to hear them anymore. The book jumped around from location to location, constantly introducing more and more characters, interjecting worthless "matter of fact" info about them as if it was common information already introduced in the book. This was done with locations, ships, battles and characters throughout the book which further added to the confusion. The story idea was creative, but the creativity was lost in the mass of characters and the ridiculously involved descriptions of the ships that unless you have some military knowledge you will be lost. And again, the voices the narrator used were embarrassingly horrible which if anything, made the book even more painful to listen to. I wish I could get my money back.
ignore what Scott S says, it is apparent that they jumped in half way into the series instead of starting with the first like someone sensible would. this series is one of the best book series I have found. each book builds on each other, characters are introduced and develope, technology improves, and the story progresses. 10 /10
Amazing story line, for anyone interested in alternate timelines. “What If” at its best.
