Unabridged Audiobook
This book started off strong, but quickly devolved into vilifying medicinal treatments to ADHD. While the entire premise of the book was to provide alternatives to treatment with medication, many of the suggestions were riddled with circular logic. For example, she suggests combating negative thinking by not allowing yourself to have negative thoughts. If it were so easy for someone to just stop having these symptoms and though patterns, I doubt they would be reading/listening to a book looking for advice. Lastly, she asserted that ALL mental illness is curable. Even a step further, it's curable without medication. Sure, this is true for some, but medication is a necessary and beneficial treatment for a lot of people, and some will never be rid of their mental illness.
