The confirmation of Dr. Irene Kennedy as the CIA’s new director explodes into chaos as a deadly inside plot to destroy her and prematurely end the president’s term emerges. Meanwhile, a dangerous world leader gains power in the nuclear arms race, leading Israel to force the president’s hand with a chilling ultimatum. With the specter of World War III looming, the president calls on top counterterrorism operative Mitch Rapp, but with only two weeks to take out the nukes, Rapp is up against a ticking clock—and impossible odds.

Good story, but unfortunately the narration did not work for me at all. I learned just how much difference a narration can make.

I loved the story and the suspense but the narrator wasn't right for this genre. I think the best narrator is George Guidall.

Love all the Mitch Rapp books and the narrator for the rest of the series (George Guidall) is awesome... this one however sounds like someone trying to audition for Shakespeare theater. Did not fit the book AT ALL. Please, PLEASE, never use him again for a Mitch Rapp novel.

This is the last book I will buy from the series. It is the slowest and tallest first four hours of any book I have ever had to put up with. Definitely dropped the ball on this one.

This narrator sucks!! his whiney nasaly voice detracts from the story it is making listening to the book a real chore. I will be screening any and all selections from now on to avoid anything narrated by Ken Kliban. Such an annoying voice. It's like trying to listen to Niles Crane drone on for 14 friggin' hours !! Absolutely nauseating!!

Great story line but didn’t care for the narrator.

Narrator was terrible. Editor should have cut the redundant explanations of characters. Fact checker needed for medical information. Giving someone 2 LITERS of fluid without an active external bleed would fluid over load the body and they would be dead in minutes. NOT going to miss much if you pass on this one.

I have been listening to the books in chronological order beginning with American Assassin. I love the books and usually hurry into the next title. This narrator is terrible. He completely ruins the Mitch Rapp character. His reading of the character is nothing like the character we have come to know. I am pleased to see that they never used him for another Rapp book. If by some chance this is the only Rapp book you have listened to, please give one of the others a try.

Good story, it stumbles on weapons nomenclature, narration, and level of impossibility.

The dialogue and relationships are so juvenile that it detracts from the story line. And the tones of voice and grating sound of this narrator makes a still decent Rapp novel annoying. Had to stop listening and read the rest.

fantastic story but the narrator was awful.

Great story, great action, a wonderful application to the Rapp story. The only drawback was, I feel the narrator did not fit this series. I had a hard time bringing myself into the story as he read. But over all a great book.

I have stopped listening to titles because of this narrator before. For years he has been giving strong characters whining voices, like they are total losers. I can't for the life of me understand why he still works in the industry. Only the excellent author saves this book.
