From New York Times bestselling author Helena Hunting, Shacking Up is a hilarious, swoon-worthy novel about sex and the city—and everything in-between.

Ruby Scott is months behind on rent and can’t seem to land a steady job. She has one chance to turn things around with a big audition. But instead of getting her big break, she gets sick as a dog and completely bombs it in the most humiliating fashion. All thanks to a mysterious, gorgeous guy who kissed—and then coughed on—her at a party the night before.

Luckily, her best friend might have found the perfect opportunity; a job staying at the lavish penthouse apartment of hotel magnate Bancroft Mills while he’s out of town, taking care of his exotic pets. But when the newly-evicted Ruby arrives to meet her new employer, it turns out Bane is the same guy who got her sick.

Seeing his role in Ruby’s dilemma, Bane offers her a permanent job as his live-in pet sitter until she can get back on her feet. Filled with hilariously awkward encounters and enough sexual tension to heat a New York City block, Shacking Up, from New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Helena Hunting, is sure to keep you laughing and swooning all night long.

I was completely engaged in this book. The narrators did a great job changing their voices to match each character. Their acting was so good as well! If a person was sick, they did a sick voice. I could not stop listening. The entire story was funny, sexy and satisfying. These kind of books make me drift away and I enjoyed my first book written by Helen Hunting! Must read!! I enjoy books when the narrators act out the voices, it makes it easier for you to follow.

(I have to give the narrators a star rating, so I’m giving it a 1 star. But not for Jacob Morgan!!! He gets a 5!!!) This is seriously the sweetest adult romance series out there. I adore anything Jacob Morgan narrates-and he continues to shine in this as well…HOWEVER- it was absolutely painful to listen to the the female narrator. She destroyed this book. I kept trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, hoping she would get better as the chapters went on-but by the end I wanted to scream! And then cry!!! This sweet story was ruined. I’m so sad. I finished it because Jacobs chapters were lovely. Helena Hunting is a genius. Her words are golden. It really sounded like the female narrator was taking the general idea of the page and ad-libbing. Big mistake!!! Please-PLEASE- re record this so that it can be as fabulous as the rest of the series. For newbies to Helena Hunting-don’t let this audiobook put you off the others. She really is a fun, sweet, writer; and her words flow like honey.
