Summary
What happens when I find the right guy at exactly the wrong time?

I'm Alex Young. Star quarterback for the Denver Mountain Lions. Captain of the team. Son. Brother. Teammate. And I'm gay.

No one can know. My secret could destroy everything. I lock myself up in the closet and throw away the key. It's better this way. I can focus on football and being the best quarterback I can be. Until him.

With that first look, I'm a goner. I've never met anyone like him. With each passing day, he's breaking down my walls that I've worked so hard to build.

But what if someone finds out? What if I'm outed to the world and cut from the team I love? I can't risk it.

But when Carter kisses me like that? I can't resist.

I am in so much trouble.

Sideline Infraction is an emotional and heartwarming sports romance. I loved everything about Alex and Carter’s romance. Alex is star quarterback of the Denver Mountain Lions who is also gay but no one knows it. Carter is a math teacher who had sworn off football players because he had been burned in the past. Once these two meet they immediately hit off and have so much chemistry. I loved watching these two fall in love and they had so many swoony moments. My heart ached for both of them, Alex with keeping his secret because he was afraid of losing everything and for Carter being hurt all over again when he took a chance on Alex. I loved seeing Alex find the courage to come out to his coach and team and all of the support they gave him so he can be himself for the first time. JF Harding and Tim Paige perform this audio in dual narration. These two were perfectly cast, JF does amazing at making you feel Alex’ turmoil and struggles with coming out and Tim does great showcasing Carter’s confidence. I loved the way these two brought these characters to life. This one has become my favorite in the series.

Story: 8/10 Spice: 1/5 Spice Hierarchy: Open Door Narration: 4/5 ALex has been keeping a secret his whole life.  Its something he wants to continue to keep a secret especially as the quarterback for the Denver Mountain Lions.  Enter his coach’s son, Carter.  Carter wants nothing to do with football or football players after having a terrible experience in the past.  The chemistry between these two is undeniable so now how do they move forward. The texts and banter between these 2 is perfect.  Alex’s big swoony moment that he recreated for Carter was so beautiful.  Do we know what is going to happen with Carter and Alex, yes.  But the heartbreak is still there and it's so well written/read.  Alex’s coming out story with his coach and team was so beautifully done.  I was not prepared for Carter to be the man in charge when he was with Alex.  But I was HERE

This was a great spicy short listen. I haven’t listened to a MM romance in a while so it was a good change. I do enjoy sports MM romances so that was a bonus. There’s something so sweet and tragic in these stories where people aren’t able to comfortably be themselves, and therefore be with the one they love, and then see them grow into the mindset where they can be comfortable and proud and receive all the love, it’s one of my favorite things. The narrators were great for this book too.
