Unabridged Audiobook
I've not listened to many audio books, but this was probably the weirdest and dullest of them all! I persevered only as I'm a huge Harlan Coben fan and I was on a 20hr road trip (I find listening to a story better than listening to music when driving all night!) It was bizarre how the narrator altered tone / accent only slightly to voice other characters, but the dull tone of the narrator for the vast majority of the reading was really the killer blow. The story itself was enjoyable, but I wish I'd read the book myself, albeit impossible whilst driving!
OMG WHAT A BORE. GUESSING IS GOOD BUT THIS WAS SO SO SO SOSOSOSOSOSOSOSO LONG WINDED I WISH I WOULD HAVE NOT KEPT GOING JUST TO GET TO THE END...............yuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Too many repetitive lines and thoughts. Narrator was too monotone. I hate starting a book and not finishing, so I did listen to the whole book. Figured out the ending way too early.
Worst Harlan book I've ever read/listened too. Boring story. Predictable. The reader sounds nostalgic the whole time. And just plain miserable. Worst story I've listened to in a long time.
Didn't want to believe the reviews but wow, this was so hard to get through. I even fast forwarded through some of it. Main character is overly obsessed for a 3 month courtship. Too much introspection and too much male whining. The whining is unbearable.
The narrator was wildly annoying I’m such a fan of the author but the plot of this one was weak and annoying I actually hated it! I’m sad. I sooo wanted it to be awesome. Overly explaining simple plots and overly dramatic narration.
I really enjoyed the story, but the narrator was too "weak" for me. I'm not sure I would listen to another read by him.
though at times the story drags a but it was interesting. enjoyed it
Meh. I finished it so thats a sign that it wasn't completely awful. Kinda boring though. Wasn't really feeling for the characters
Great suspense! Enjoyed book I did not find book predictable like another reader.
Kept me guessing until the end! Suspenseful and engaging.
