Unabridged Audiobook
Did not disappoint and adds more background to a very underrated but powerful character.
Great story! Glad to see there are more stories that dive a little into who Darth Maul is.
it was an okay book. the author makes a point to go into every gruesome detail of every death and there were a couple of inconsistencies in character development, but overall I enjoyed it. Johnathan Davis ALWAYS makes it happen though
this makes me appreciate Darth Maul all the more. It's a wonderful intriguing book. there's so many twists.
Interesting story fleshing out Darth Maul's role and service to Sidious prior to the phantom menance. Excellent narration.
Found the blood to be very boring, and disappointing. It’s almost like someone took every made for TV prison movie, blood sport vhs tape, the sci-fi movie, a dvd of the Usual Suspects, and blended it together managing to somehow get something less interesting than any of those components so they threw in a dash of Darth Maul which didn’t help. In my opinion it didn’t really give the reader any new or interesting insights into Darth Maul’s character or background. The obvious tactic of depriving him or the force and lightsaber was tedious and tiresome. The ending was anticlimactic and it’s as if it were just meant to be a vehicle to use Darth Maul’s character to sell what someone hoped would be a series of books because it seemed like it was bait for a sequel. It did have lots of violence and blood but I found the fights to be lacking because there is nothing at risk because you aren’t invested in his mission so you don’t care if he completes it or not and because of where it fits in continuity you know he isn’t going to die so he isn’t at risk so there isn’t really any drama it seemed more like the result of a conversation between a group of kids arguing “who would win a fight? Darth Maul (without the force and without his lightsaber) or -insert monster here-.
A little underwhelming to be honest. Don’t get me wrong there are some truly great moments in the book, but there’s a gimmick placed on Maul’s abilities to make his adventure more challenging that just had me tearing my hair out in frustration sometimes. The ending too was anticlimactic. Adding a new dynamic right at the end that seemed very intriguing. Obvious sequel bait is obvious
great story, excellent narration
Good book. gives a better weight to the Darth maul character when watching prequals..
This book Darth Maul lockdown kept me on my toes through the whole thing! I would recommend anyone and everyone that like Star Wars to listen to this, a 5 star rating doesn't even come close to what it should get. Amazing is all I can say!
Best one of the Star Wars yet! Action packed with all the drama and plot ties to previous books.
