The audio narrator was excellent however, Ii would be most helpful if the books of the bible were listed instead of pressing the play button in hopes of selecting the book of the bible you want is selected. Many times I may not want to pick up where I left off.

Very soothing and quite easy to listen to. I only wish that each segment was split up into Bible Book and chapter, instead of a continuous number of chapters that make it hard to find a specific Bible book and chapter. Love it!

I try to listen to the bible once a year from cover to cover. It is a bit overwhelming at times. I chose this version bible this year. I started listening the daily portions but got swept up in a major move and managed to get behind in my listening. I decided to try the audiobook and listen along for help with focus and encouragement. I enjoyed it greatly. The narrator did a wonderful job. It was a different experience from listening to it myself. I know that the bible was written to be listen to the people but other than a few passages I have never been listen to the bible before. It was a joy. I am excited to get get started on next years listen through. I am not sorry I made this purchase.

the book is listed in thirteen parts with just chapters. you don't get any reference to what book your in at all. which makes it difficult to go to a specific book to listen. I would highly recommended this book.

I started this book thinking I had a fair amount of knowledge on this subject and I was blown away with all that I learned. Showing the customs and logistics with a historical narrative of how the Bible came to be from Genesis to revelations what books made the cut and how and why. I enjoy when authors narrate their own books but not all authors are actually good listeners , but Edward Carbey does a most excellent job in presenting the information in a clear , concise and entertaining way I listen this book over 2 days and I was bummed when it was over.

I have tried to listen to the Bible through several times, but it is so much easier to understand listening to it in chronological order. It has strengthened my confidence, understanding, and faith in God.

A logical, factual and charitable explanation of the above but a good place for non Catholics to start if you want to understand the Church view and definition of sacred Tradition, Holy Scripture and how it works together to transmit the Christian message.

If you ever want to listen to the Bible all the way through without falling asleep this is the way to do it. This Bible is in order of how it all took place and its written in a language that is easy to listen. Everyday there is a listening that is not a lot so you can get through it in one year. Excellent way to listen to the bible in one year. I come from a very religious family and like many it is hard for me to come home from a busy day and just listen to the bible. This is a great gift, and I thank my mother for having an influence in my religious affiliation. I prefer to listen to this in the morning right once I sit at my desk to give start my day off right. This is an excellent gift for someone who is struggling to listen the bible or is new to religion period.

It is different than listening to the daily bible that has listening from different parts of the bible. More like listening a book. Personally I like the one year bible that has the old testament, new testament, psalms and verses in a daily listening. This form is more inspirational in my opinion.

this is a book that I've tried to listen about 20 or 30 times can never get through and being able to listen to it while I drive allowed me to listen it and give my devotion to the book and to the word of the Lord and it makes me feel that I'm a more complete Christian just because the fact that I've been able to listen and been able to listen to the direct words given to us by God

This was only the second time I’ve listen to the entire Bible and followed along my listening. I love the narrator. His voice is soothing and very much in keeping with the readings without being distracting. I would recommend this audio version to anyone and everyone. I found it very helpful. I loved it!

I listened to many samples of Bible narration before hearing this. As soon as I heard the sample, I fell in love with it! Clay Wilson reads well, I hear a difference in characterization, but it is not over the top to detract from the Bible reading.

Very good interpretation. I'd love to listen to it again. I was able to finish it in a little over a month. It's really help me understand how to view my faith and how to act in society. An excellent book for anyone interested in learning about the history of Biblical development. Mr Clay narrates the book himself making it that much more enjoyable to listen to. This is definitely a resource I will frequently be handing out to others.

I truly loved listening to the Bible in this format, with no added dramatization. Still, because this is not a one and done listening experience, it would have helped to be able to navigate the audiobook by Books and Chapters. The way it is set up now, it takes a lot of time and effort to find the particular section you are looking for.

If you are looking for a great narration for the classical stories containing proverbial wisdom from scripture, this is it. The voice is great for it. It sounds clean and is comfortable to listen to.

Very clear Annunciation is it do you understand no drama no big performance just listening which is exactly what I wanted I do still wish that instead of having the chapters numbered that there was a title as to which chapter starts within the chapter section let’s see if I wanted to go back to the book of Willison I can’t tell where it is the way this is numbered

This is a great alternative of listening than listening the very thick book of the Holy Bible. Love! It would help to name the chapters though to more easily find chapters and books

I loved this book, it took over every spare bit of my life whilst listening to it. The Congo part was interesting and enticing after Congo i believed it lost some interest and intrigue. I loved the narration, and the personalities portrayed. Plus it was a great learning tool about the Congo and the politics of which I knew nothing about.

Unbelievable exploration of culture, religion, politics and gender issues, and ultimately of humanity. This writer has a higher understanding of everything and the craft to express it through several points of view and a way of calculating the plot in a way that captivates until the last word of the book. Nobel prize worthy!

Narrator voice is amazing I feel like I am there experiencing the story first hand. Other version replace words and often omit words effecting the overall message and meaning.

This is a great new way of contemplating and partaking of the library of books in the bible. Also listen "what we talk about" and "live wins" I'm a Edward Carbey fan and will get more from him. I actually listened to the audio book during an 4 hour drive and really appreciated hearing the author listen his own words.
