Story was entertaining. Narrator was okay.

Simply put... stupid! Completely unrealistic, corny, lame and dull.

I sort of wish I had read this book instead of listening to it. I'm not sure if horrendous writing made it impossible for a narrator to portray it in a believable way or vice versa. The story was just ok, the dialogue seemed unrealistic. I don't think real people talk that way. The main character actually used the word ghastly multiple times. It all just seemed a little contrived. I honestly didn't care what happened to the characters at the end of the book, much less will I actually read the other books in the series.
