Summary
Matchmaking guru Kennedy Pepperdine's life is perfect. Perfect job. Perfect friends. Perfect boyfriend. Except . . . when she gets trapped in an elevator with a handsome stranger, she accidentally confesses a secret: maybe her perfect boyfriend, Justin, isn't so perfect for her after all. But a matchmaker should be able to successfully match herself, right? Thankfully, she'll never see the handsome stranger again. Until she heads home with Justin for the holidays and learns that the sexy stranger is none other than Justin's older brother, Matt.

Matt Ellis is trying to be on his best behavior for his mother-it is Christmas, after all. But when he recognizes the beautiful woman from the elevator-the one he hasn't been able to stop thinking about for months-his best behavior is being held by a thread. Matt's always sacrificed for his family, and nothing is more important than their happiness, but the more time he spends around Kennedy, the more he wonders if her supposed 'right match' might just be the wrong brother.

The wrong brother part of this book reminded me of Dan in Real Life and While You were Sleeping, two movies I really like. Everything surrounding that is different but the whole I'm with the wrong brother thing was similar. It is a fun trope because it is difficult to guess how the happily ever after part is going to come about. One just has to enjoy the ride to see how it will play out. While there is no sex on the page, there is innuendo and people living together. And there is some language throughout, though the mom is often telling them to watch their language. It is refreshing that the brother that is so obviously wrong for Kennedy, does actually love her and cares what happens to her. He is a good guy really but very egocentric. And he takes Kennedy for granted. I was glad to see him make actual changes in his life. I was also glad to see Kennedy make some changes too. She is so single minded with her business that she can't see what is in front of her and makes excuses for anything that doesn't fit in her set plan. I liked Matt too except initially he was too much of a player for my tastes. I listened to the audiobook and thought the narrator did a good job. Sex: implied, innuendo Language: yes Violence: briefly *I won this audiobook in a giveaway and voluntarily chose to review it.
