William Trowbridge Larned was primarily a "house" author for the P.F. Volland children's book publishing company of Chicago during the 1910's. He adapted several collections of fables and fairy tales, including Fairy Tales from France, Fables in Rhyme, Reynard the Fox : and other fables, and American Indian Fairy Tales.
